Finkum : 13-02-06.

If you want to visit the church you can get the key by Holdingawei 8.apparently, (though I did not know this at the time or I would have collected the key). </strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong>The cementry was very big considering it is such a small village.</strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong>On the tower was a clock it was unusual, the portico on the side is also very interesting.</strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong>We then continued our walk and saw that the rail line that used to run from Leeuwarden to Dokkum came through Finkum and Hijum, and you could walk this route.There was a sign saying &quot;Spoardyk&quot;, so marja and I decided we would walk this route the following week.</strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong>The train station has been pulled down I think, as we could not find it, I did however look on the NS web-site and this did exist.</strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong><br /></strong></em></span></p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong><a href="http://friesianwalks.web-log.nl/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/2009/09/28/finkum115.jpg"><img border="0" height="268" width="450" alt="Finkum115" src="http://friesianwalks.weblog.nl/files/2009/09/1760175d53" /></a></strong></em></span><p><em></em></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong>It was misty and freezing</strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong><br /></strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong><br /></strong></em></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 1.2em"><em><strong>Walking back to the car&nbsp;
