In Beetgum.

We stayed in Beetgum and walked through the village (dorp).We came across very spontaneous and friendly people on our walk.





We had our camera with us and this is an example of the photograph we took. In the photograph is myself , left (Grace Lee), and my friend Marja Hoefsmit, rightholding a cardboard figure of Peter Karstkarel, an author of a book that he had just launched, the title '419x Friesland '.





What was an amazing coincidence was we had just started our walks through Friesland and these people were promoting the release of this book on the very day that we should start our walks.



This walk took place on 1st January, 2005.
